Appraisal Workshop
This workshop prepares managers to hold productive appraisal meetings. This programme will be adjusted to deal with the levels of expertise while still providing the essential basics and skills training in a consistent manner.
The course spends some time looking at what and how to prepare for the appraisal meeting as well as providing the face-to-face skills required to hold meaningful appraisals.
Objectives:
This workshop will enable participants to:
· Gain confidence when appraising staff
· Understand the importance of thorough preparation and how to do it
· Be able to communicate effectively
· Be able to give feedback and receive feedback
· Practice setting objectives
· Ensure that the appraisal is a worthwhile experience for both people
involved

· Good vs bad appraisals

The workshop will run for a day and will include the following:
· Group discussion with the trainer throughout the
· Short guided discussion between delegates on selected topics to allow
them to explore the issues
· Practical Exercises
